Strategic and tactical responsibility for implementing programmes strategy and strategic operational goals to exceed assigned customer expectations for programmes, maximising efficiency, optimising and driving excellence.  Work closely with internal and external key stakeholders, customer service, manufacturing, sales and customers regarding support of their activities. Responsible for all areas of the assigned Programmes function and quality of service delivery, striving for best-in-class products and business practices to deliver to the customer’s expectations, managing teams and projects across the business.
 
Provide clear leadership and vision, inspire, and motivate colleagues to achieve excellence and mentor them as they develop new skills.  Drive Key Performance Indicators across all areas of the assigned Programmes function to ensure that all projects are delivered on cost and on time to the highest quality standards. Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental issues are prioritised and facilitate, direct and drive implementation of Lean Business strategy and drive Continuous Improvement across all related areas of the business. Create and manage program plan gateways, functional milestones and deliverables, managing constraints to ensure delivery to program timing and budget with maximum effectiveness to achieve good customer relationships that will ultimately maximise long term profit.

  • Overall responsibility for assigned Programming activities across the business.
  • Ensure that strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality, and delivery targets and which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market.

  • Ensure that programme management strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality, and delivery targets and which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market.
  • Assisting projects with value engineering and financial control of contracts during construction stage
  • Report on assigned Programming activities on a regular basis to the Senior Management team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the relevant Key Performan
  • Ensure the appropriate Polytec systems and procedures are established and followed, ensuring best practices in project management are continually developed and used with appropriate Programme/Project management frameworks in place, incorporating the Gateway Review process if required.
  • Ensure programme and project reviews are regularly and effectively conducted to drive plan, monitor, and control the delivery of programmes to schedule, budget and to the agreed quality level.

...AND POSSESS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS?

  • Educated to degree level (preferably Masters) in a relevant discipline or equivalent NVQ Level 7 qualification
  • Fellow or Chartered Member of an industry related Professional Body.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading a programmes function with a proven track record in strategic leadership delivering effective strategies, policies, processes, and systems.
  • Track record of successfully managing multiple large-scale projects.
  • Desirable: Project Management qualification e.g., PRINCE2.
  • Knowledge and technical understanding of automotive processes, components, and design techniques
