Create a complete packaging strategy to reflect the needs of the business covering end to end value stream which includes all suppliers, Polytec sites and customers

IF YOU ARE ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT...

Design and develop packaging solutions for new and existing products, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, handling needs and industry regulations and standards.
Design and develop packaging solutions for incoming supplied products, ensuring compliance with requirements, handling needs and industry regulations and standards.
Conduct feasibility studies and material selection processes to identify optimal packaging materials that meet performance and cost targets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance to validate packaging designs through testing and prototyping.
Lead projects to improve packaging efficiency and sustainability, analyzing lifecycle impacts and proposing innovative solutions.
Lead projects to improve internal material handling systems in storage and part movement, analyzing cycletime impacts and proposing innovative and cost effective solutions.
Oversee the transition of packaging projects from concept through to production, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives within the packaging processes to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.
Provide technical guidance and support during the implementation of packaging machinery and equipment

Engineering Background
Automotive Background
Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
Drive and support the requirements to uphold accreditations including IATF16949 and ISO14001.
Maintain effective relationships with other functions.

Maintain excellent verbal and written communication.
Provide direction and management support for direct reports to drive performance.
